Bruce MacIntosh

Bruce Macintosh is a professor of physics at Stanford University and Deputy Director of KIPAC. His research focuses on the detection of extrasolar planets through direct imaging, and on development of adaptive optics and astronomical instrumentation for ground and space-based telescopes. He received his Ph.D. in astronomy at University of California, Los Angles. Prof. Macintosh is serving on the steering committee for the National Academies’ 2020 Decadal Survey of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
